Painted handles = SHIT
It’s exactly as the title says. Avoid painted/colored handles like the plague(this includes black). Having painted handles makes the fans spin poorly(the paint causes too much friction against your skin), and in humidity, it makes the fans completely unspinnable. Tell the manufacturer that you’re considering buying from that you do not want the handles painted. If they do not offer the option, go elsewhere. If the handles are anything other than copper/silver: go elsewhere. “This fan I want to buy has a double ring on the bottom. Is this a bad thing?
These handles work fine for the most part, but the gap between the rings can catch your pinky if you’re not careful, and they make scissor gripping more difficult to do as well. Other than these issues though, they aren’t necessarily bad and you really don’t have anything to worry about if you purchase a fan with double rings on the handle. They’re there to give you more to grab onto since theyre probably made of thinner wire than say a fat copper ring.
Photon Performance and Props
This shop currently sells a Modular ring russian grip fan(as seen in photo), that allows the user to switch between a russian grip to a tech grip(small hole grip), and from fire wicks to LED wicks. They also offer standard wick fans(nonmodular) upon request
How The Atomizer Works
There are various types of atomizers in the industry today. For the most part, the cartomizer which is a cartridge with a built-in atomizer, is the way most people choose to go. Even so, within these cartomizers are top-coil, bottom-coil, dual-coil, horizontal and vertical coil atomizers to name a few. To put it simply, the atomizer, whether built into a cartomizer or in a stand-alone design, uses a heating element (usually a very small gauge wire) to vaporize the e-liquid.
If you are more of a technically minded person then let’s try this explanation. Looking at the atomizer you have a wire which is connected to a circuit board as well as a power supply. The circuit board (when activated by a push of a button) sends power to two places. The first is a heating element (the thin wire) and the second is a micro-pump located within the atomizer. The pump forces the e-liquid through the atomizer where the heating element is located. As the e-liquid passes this it is vaporized. This process continues until the user stops sucking or the button is released. Different models function slightly different.
A method of vaping that has caught on over the last year especially is dripping. Dripping is a pretty self-explanatory method of vaping where you simply drip the e-liquid into the atomizer directly. This bypasses the cartridge or the tank completely. Of course there are some obvious drawbacks to vaping in this manner. First however, lets take a look at what benefits can be taken away from dripping.
The most obvious drawback to dripping is the inconvenience of it all. With this method you cannot just simply pull your e-cig from your pocket and start vaping. To drip you must almost always be somewhere that you have the time to set up the things you need and then you can proceed to vape. It takes quite a while sometimes if you are not prepared before hand. It can also be very messy. If you are not careful it is easy to drip e-juice everywhere. It is also recommended that you wear gloves because nicotine can soak through your skin and you can expose yourself to toxic amounts of the chemical by doing so.
Present Day Uses
Today dripping has become rather popular despite its obvious drawbacks. There are those who are very serious about their flavors and the quality of the e-liquid they use. For these people, dripping is absolutely the only way to vape. Typically you will also find that those who prefer this method will also mix their own flavors of e-juice and will usually rebuild their atomizers as opposed to purchasing new ones. The market has noticed this as well and there are even a few models out there specifically made for dripping.
Among the three, atomizers are the shortest. An atomizer is filled by dripping e-juice directly onto the coil. This is called direct dripping. For disposable 5or 30atomizers, 3-drops will suffice, which is good for about drags. Other atomizers, especially the rebuildable models, allow users to drip from to 1drops without over-flooding.
While the number of drags one is able to take with atomizers is significantly less than what cartomizers and clearomizers provide, direct dripping is preferred by many for its clean and flavorful vape. However, because of constant dripping, atomizer users will have to carry a bottle of e-juice around with them at all times.
You will know when to refill an atomizer once the flavor wanes. When you notice your vape getting less flavorful, drip on it right away, so you don’t dry burn the wick and get a burnt taste on your next drag. When a wick has been dry burnt, all it takes is a couple of drops, and you can vape normally again.
How Cartomizers Work
If you are familiar with the three-piece system then cartomizers should be easy enough to grasp. If you are not, you soon will be. In a typical two-piece system you will have the battery and the cartomizer. It is the cartomizer or cart that we are concerned with however. There are a few different varieties of carts on the market today and each has their strengths and weaknesses. Let’s take a look at these and how they work.
Longer in size than atomizers, but just as wide, cartomizers are often described as “extended atomizers.” However, instead of silica wicks, cartomizers use fillers or Poly-fil – a cotton-like fiber used to hold the e-juice.
While single coil cartomizers are available, most are dual coil. This means two coils are used to give a lower resistance and provide more vapor. However, dual coils are notorious for eating through batteries.
Able to hold a greater amount of e-juice, about drops or so, cartomizer users can go on extended vaping sessions without refilling. Like atomizers, cartomizers are refilled or “topped up” once the flavor starts to wane, but refilling can be a pain since it requires tipping the cartomizer at an angle to avoid filling the air hole, or doing so via syringe. Unlike atomizers, though, once you dry burn a cartomizer, the Poly-fil is ruined and needs to be discarded.
However, instead of wasting a perfectly good cartomizer, one can convert it into a dripping atomizer by removing the filler carefully, using tweezers. Once the filler is completely removed, you can reuse your cartomizer just like any normal atomizer. But be aware that since you’re dripping directly onto the coil without a wick, expect to burn through e-juice quicker. Experienced users often keep converted cartomizers as backups to be used only in emergencies.
These days, cartomizers are not as popular and widely used as they once were. With e-cigarette technology evolving rapidly, atomizers can now hold as much juice, or more, than the cartomizers of old – without the awkward refilling, the risk of filling the air hole, and the risk of burning through the Poly-fil.
The upside of cartomizers is that they usually come pre-filled with e-juice. This is great for those who need an atomizer and e-juice in a pinch, and don’t want to bother themselves with constant refilling.
While dual coils are common, it’s not unusual to hear users with triple or quadruple coils built into their tanks. One thing to remember about multiple coils is that they produce massive clouds of vapor and give users a much stronger throat hit. Surprisingly, even with multiple coils, these types give a cooler vape since the heat isn’t concentrated on just one coil.
However, multiple coils also draw more power from batteries. If you are prepared to switch batteries often, or use larger e-cigs with higher mAh, multiple coils can be a viable choice.
Of the three types, it really comes down to personal preference. If you like a warm vape, then top coils are best. If you like a more flavorful vape, bottom coils are the way to go. If you prefer throat hit and solid vapor production, then multiple coils are perfect. Whichever type you choose, be aware of their disadvantages so you won’t get surprised in the end.
Resistance is measured in ohms – lowering the ohms increases heat, so a 0.5Ohm coil will get hotter than a 1.0Ohm coil. Increasing the heat (lowering the ohms) does a few things; increases vapour production, increases the warmth of the vapour and increases hit from the nicotine. Lower ohms mean more vapour and more hit.
So, why don’t we just build all devices to have the lowest resistance possible? Well, the answer is down to personal taste. Lower ohms require more battery power and bigger batteries, as well as more juice, and not everybody wants to walk around with a massive device that drinks e-liquid and eats power. For most regular users, carrying around a mini power plant is not an attractive option.
The wicking material supplies the coil with e-liquid. With a hotter coil, the liquid is used up more quickly, so you need a faster wick. Organic cotton is generally considered the best wicking material, as it is taste neutral (does not affect the taste) providing a cleaner, purer flavour from the juice, but it’s also very resilient to heat. Plus, it wicks (provides liquid to the coil) quickly. So you can ramp up the heat, and retain taste, without fear of burning.
This why our JOC (Japanese organic cotton) coils for the PTperform better than the standard versions, as these use a more resilient material for the wick.
So, why aren’t all coils made with organic cotton? Well, most are actually, the only reason not to use it is cost, and the benefits outweigh the cost, so I’d always advise buying pre-built coils with organic cotton, such as our S-Coils or the PTJOC coils. Synthetic wicks just don’t add up to me.
The more airflow you have, the higher the temperature the coil can go, as air passing over the coil will help to keep it from overheating. This, in turn, tends to mean bigger clouds and again more hit, but also more taste. Airflow also alters the feel of the drag, or the resistance you experience when taking a draw.
A normal cigarette has resistance to its drag, and most users drag on a cigarette and pull the smoke into their mouth prior to inhaling into the lungs. This type of drag (read airflow) is known as mouth to lung (MTL). It produces a drag similar to a normal cigarette and is what most new users are comfortable with, as it makes vaping a familiar experience.
There is also another type of airflow, referred to as direct lung (DL), but is also known as sub-ohm, or high airflow vaping. Direct lung is more like sucking on a straw and offers no resistance to the drag – you are literally sucking as much air as you can over the coil and directly into your lungs along with the vapour. Do this with a normal cigarette and you’ll get burnt lips and feel like your lungs are about to fall out.
This type of drag causes a far larger movement of air as your lungs are far bigger than just your mouth, and hence far higher temperatures can be reached by the coil. This, however, is also when you get into vapour production like a fog machine (people reading this with large lungs, Google ‘cloud competition’, as there may be a professional career in vaping waiting for you).
Something like our SERIES-S offers both of these options (MTL and DL), so if you’re a new user you can start in familiar territory with a mouth to lung coil. When you’re ready to kick it up and experiment, simply chuck in the direct lung coil and fog the place out. Each person finds their own personal preference, but the nice thing about e-cigs is that you have options to choose from.
Pre-built coils take all of the hard work out of vaping. When we build a coil for a device, we set it up to balance all three of the above characteristics to give you the best possible experience for the kind of vape it’s meant for, either mouth to lung or direct lung, without you needing to worry.
Printer Buying Guide: What to look for when printer shopping
Choosing the right printer can be a daunting task. There are several types of printing technologies to choose from, each suited for different needs. Printers come in all shapes and sizes, from tiny travel companions to work group workhorses; some are geared toward photographers, others are for multitaskers. And the many specifications for resolution and speed can be misleading. As a loose rule of thumb, inkjet printers like the HP Photosmart 75and the Canon Pixma MG3220 are a must for vibrant colors and long-lasting photos, whereas Canon’s ImageClass MF30and similar laser printers are best at producing speedy text documents. To get started, you’ll need to decide which of the following profiles best fits your user type.
For a more comprehensive index, be sure to check out our list of Best printers.
The home user demands a lot from a printer. The device must tackle everything from a book report to a newsletter to the occasional snapshot — all without breaking the budget. This is why the best choice is a versatile and affordable printer, such as a small-office/home-office color inkjet.
Any inkjet can print photos in color, but if you want results that approach professional photofinishing, you’ll need a printer designed to reproduce the dynamic range of a traditional photograph. If you consider the printer a critical aspect of your digital darkroom, you need to look at the gamut and characteristics of the ink set, the supported papers, the color-management tools, and the paper path options.
If you plan to purchase only one printer or are a serious hobbyist, a letter-size inkjet is your best bet, since it can also handle routine printing tasks. Some use thermal dye-transfer technology (also known as dye sublimation) in which heat changes the physical state of solid inks until they infuse specially coated paper, solidifying as they cool.
The alternative: If you’re into digital photography but also run a busy home office, consider a multifunction printer. Manufacturers of these all-in-ones have been working on improving photo output and scanning technology, and many offer multiple ink cartridges that save you money in the long term by allowing you to replace each color as it depletes, as opposed to purchasing a brand-new three-color cartridge every time one color runs out.
Additionally, most all-in-ones boast memory card slots and LCDs on which to preview prints and do light editing, in addition to connectivity options like Ethernet and wireless, with Apple AirPrint and Google Cloud Print features in the upper tiers.
Small businesses can benefit from a jack-of-all-trades model like a multifunction or all-in-one printer. These space-saving devices come in both laser and inkjet models that also include a fax machine, copier, and scanner along with printing to round out the versatility.
Work group lasers are the obvious choice for your small business or team within a larger organization. Designed to juggle multiple print jobs, these systems have faster processors, more memory, and print engines that are capable of churning out more than 3pages per minute.
The alternative: A business-class inkjet may be sufficient if your team has modest printing needs, and most models support network printing and wireless connectivity. If you’re an employee bound for work-related travel and find yourself hunting for a printer, many manufacturers still produce special mobile printers that make for useful accessories on the road.
Most buyers start with a general notion of the type of printer they’ll need. The reason is that different printing technologies are suited for different printing needs and budgets. Below we’ll talk more about the basic types of printers and their pros and cons.
Sorting out the specs
When evaluating printers, the first thing you’re likely to see is a long list of specifications chock-full of acronyms such as dpi and ppm. Not only are all these specs confusing, but they also often have little or no bearing on the performance you’ll actually get in the real world. Here’s how to keep it all straight.
One of the most widely cited specifications, the resolution, refers to the maximum number of dots per inch (dpi) that can be printed, measured both horizontally and vertically. For example, a 600x600dpi laser printer lays down a 1-inch square composed of 600 dots both vertically and horizontally.
Frequently, you’ll see resolution with different values for horizontal and vertical. That’s because while the printhead has a fixed number and density of nozzles that determine the horizontal resolution, the vertical resolution is determined by the increments at which the paper feed mechanism can reliably move the paper through the printer.
This spec measures how many pages or photos per minute (ppm) a printer spits out. Sounds pretty straightforward, right? Unfortunately, it’s not so simple. To come up with the fastest-possible speeds, some manufacturers test using basic text documents at the lowest-quality print settings (Draft mode) on plain paper — not exactly a real-world test. Based on our experience, you can expect to see about half the speed promised by the manufacturer.
In recent years, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) developed a set of standard documents and criteria for measuring and reporting print speed (here’s a marketing-speak-free description).
These are a mixed blessing. While all the manufacturers now report their speeds for a common test, and the standard mandates that all tests be done at the default settings, it doesn’t mandate that the manufacturers report what those default settings are. So the so-called “apples to apples” comparisons aren’t, and buyers are just as much in the dark as they ever were.
What to look for in a base layer
When it comes to choosing a base layer, there are other things to consider besides the material it’s made from. It’s important to think about the fit, thickness of material used, warmth you’ll need from it, and odour management.
As few seams and zips as possible
Aim for as few seams and zips as possible, to minimise skin irritation
As a general rule, you want as few seams and zips as possible. The reason for that is simple: a base layer is worn next to your skin, so you’ll want to avoid anything that might catch, nip, rub or irritate as much as possible.
That said, you can’t avoid seams entirely so look for garments with seams in places that won’t interfere with your movements. Seams that are flatlock stitched rather than coverstitched are less likely to irritate skin, as the joint between fabric panels is level rather than lipped, so they’re the ones to seek out.
Some fabrics use contour mapping, which changes the weave of the fabric so that the structure can map to the body’s shape without the need for numerous panels and seams.
Some base layers have high collars but those that do are geared more towards winter use, and may be too warm to wear in the summer months. A lighter base layer with a lower collar is more suitable for warmer weather and can be worn with a high-collared jersey/jacket and neck warmer when the mercury drops.
A longer hem is helpful for keeping vital areas covered
The bottom of the base layer is just as important as the top and it’s worthwhile looking for one that extends down a little further than the typical jersey. A base layer with a longer body provides more coverage but also more material to overlap, so you’re less likely to be exposed if your jersey rides up or shorts slide down.
Vicks Warm Mist
The Vicks warm mist humidifier is suitable for single rooms and is used primarily to alleviate and sooth sore throats, coughs, colds and flu symptoms. The added bonus of being able to add inhalants like Vicks Vaposteam and eucalyptus oil to produce a medicated vapor, which is very effective for alleviating breathing difficulties, especially with children. It is a simple and straight forward device which works well in small closed rooms.
A very quiet humidifier that can operate for up to 1hours before having to be refilled, this unit boils water to form a pure steam vapor, which is up to 96% bacteria free. This mixes with dry air in the cooling chamber and releases warm, moist air into the room. The water tank, which is transparent, is easy to refill, unscrew the cap and turn it upside down and fill with distilled water which is recommended, to prevent hard water residue building up in the device. There is no filter in this unit so do not use tap water or any water softener that contains salt.
The device has two comfort settings and comes with a soft glow light. Another important feature is the automatic shut-off, which comes into effect when the water tank is empty. The green light indicates that the humidifier is working and the orange light indicates that the reservoir is out of the water and needs to be refilled.
This Ultrasonic humidifier is perfect for any small area were you want beneficial medicated and humidified air to breath when you and your family are not feeling well. This is a table top, portable unit, which is very easy to move around and can be placed on any small, sturdy surface.
Relatively inexpensive the Vicks Warm Mist Humidifier is good value for money.
On the negative side, as there are no filters, this device needs regular cleaning. You will need to take it apart and clean the mineral build up around the heater and the plastic regularly, if you allow water to sit, mold will grow. In hard water, areas soak the removable parts in vinegar to remove calcium build up. Before refilling the tank, add a teaspoon of bleach, let it stand for a minute and then give it a good rinse.
It is advisable to switch the humidifier on 1minutes before you go to bed as it does take that long to heat up the water and start producing steam. As this a small humidifier, it is only suitable for medium to small rooms, you would have to keep the doors and windows closed at all times, to produce adequate results.
If you are storing the device away in the summer months, it may be a bit difficult to clean and dry the water tank as the opening on the top is rather small, and this makes it difficult to get the excess water out and to dry completely before it is packed away.
Ultrasonic Cool Mist Anypro 3.5L
Voted one of the best humidifiers for home and baby, the Anypro 3.5L Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier has many favorable features. Made from premium plastic with anti-mold materials this unit has health benefits that not all humidifiers have.
With a water tank that takes up to 3.5L, the unit can run uninterrupted for up to 3hours. The control settings do not have the usual, low/med/high options, with this humidifier, you have a 360-degree adjustable mist spray which allows you to control the stream of mist that is emitted. The unit provides a steady flow of mist which leaves no condensation and is suitable for medium to large sized rooms. The cool steam properties of this humidifier make it a safer option to have if you have small children and pets.
It is always advisable to place your humidifier off the ground to avoid moisture buildup on your floors. The ideal position would be to place on a small table, away from the walls and other furniture to allow for the proper distribution of humidity.
The Anypro Cool Mist Humidifier was designed in the USA and its sturdy construction which has deep grooves greatly reduces the possibility of leakage or breakage.
For those who prefer or need to keep the unit operating all night, the Anypro offers peace of mind because it is super quiet and safe. The automatic shut off function which comes into effect when the humidifier runs out of the water ensures that there is no danger of destroying the unit.
The antibacterial materials used, help to suppress mold growth. To prevent calcium build up, it is recommended that you use distilled water to fill the tank. The unit does not come with a filter, a brush is supplied for cleaning, and it is recommended that the humidifier is cleaned once a week for better maintenance. Avoid letting the same water stand for too long, all humidifiers will get a moldy buildup if water is left to stand. Rinsing out with water and vinegar solution and allowing the unit to air dry after cleaning will go a long way in the prevention of mold. After cleansing it is essential to realign the unit in the center, the Logo of the product must be aligned with the power indicator securely before reusing. You need to align the tank and base properly for it to work, this action ensures that there is no water leakage.
There have been unfavorable reviews regarding the aromatherapy diffuser. There is a small aromatherapy drawer which has a disposable pad, to which you can add a few drops of essential oils. As the water and steam do not come into contact with the essential oil, it does not work as a diffuser and the release of fragrance from the essential oils into the air is minimal. Another negative point about the diffuser is that the tiny lid is not attached securely and it is very easy to misplace if it falls off.
As a humidifier, The Anypro Cool Mist has all the features one would expect to find in a good quality unit, but it is not an aromatherapy diffuser, and you should not buy this unit if this function is primarily what you are looking for.
URPOWER 500ml Aromatherapy
If you are looking for a combination Aromatherapy Essential Oil Diffuser and Humidifier, this is the unit to choose. The URPOWER 550ML is primarily an Aromatherapy Diffuser, but also offers other functions which include, Humidifier, Air Purifier, Ionizer and Night Light.
For a diffuser, the water capacity of 500ml is considered large, as most aromatherapy diffusers only have a 100ml capacity. However, the water capacity is low if you want to use the Urpower unit primarily as a humidifier, as most humidifiers hold up to 3.liters and offer continuous use for up to 3hours
The 500ml capacity can produce steam for up to hours before it needs to be refilled. This unit also has an automatic shutdown feature which switches off the machine when the water is depleted. It also comes with a timer control.
The Advanced Ultrasonic diffusing technology offered by this unit ensures that the beneficial properties of the essential oils are not compromised by heat. The powerful ultrasonic vibrations, which force fine micro particles of water and essential oils into the air, encourage healthy body absorption. This combination, aromatherapy, and humidifier, acts as an Air Purifier and improves the quality of the air we breathe and helps to lift our mood and relieve stress.
The unit can be used without the essential oils as a humidifier for the relief of dry coughs, sinus, asthma and allergies. Using it with or without the addition of essential oils, the Urpower helps with relieving dry and itchy skin conditions as well.
When used as an ionizer, the unit releases negative ions into the air to combat harmful positive ions. This automatically improves the quality of the air and provides many positive health benefits. It can prevent damage from second-hand smoke, improve breathing by freshening stale air and strengthen the immune system.
This unit is ideal for smaller rooms and can be used at home or at work. It is great if you want a pleasant aroma with humidity! Many health spas use this type of diffuser/humidifier to help with relaxation and stress relief for their clients. This unit provides a holistic approach to design and gives you moist air that smells clean and fresh.
The URPOWER 550ML comes with a LED color changing night light which is aesthetically pleasing. The lighting function can be used even when you are not diffusing and can replace a bedside lamp, especially in the children’s room. Pressing the light button in different sequences allows you to choose from colors and to set the mood achieved by the touch of a button! There is an on and off button if you decide you need no light at all.
Extra care must be given when cleaning this unit as the essential oils will leave some residue. To avoid bacteria and other microorganisms from growing, and being reintroduced into the air the device needs to be thoroughly cleaned at least twice a week. Rinsing out with a combination of vinegar and water and allowing to air dry completely is recommended. Do not use abrasive cleaners, soaking removable parts in a vinegar solution usually, solves the problem of calcium and oil residue when needed.
TaoTronics Cool Mist
This TaoTronics model is a sturdily built, good quality humidifier with outstanding features. It is an ultrasonic humidifier which is fitted with a microporous ceramic cartridge filter that purifies the water and eliminates calcium, magnesium ions, micro-organisms and bad odors.
Suitable for medium sized rooms, this practically inaudible unit, comes with a humidity mode and mist level control switch which is used to adjust the humidity. The mist outlet point has a 360-degree nozzle which also allows you to adjust the angle of the mist, everything you need, to make sure that the levels and direction of the mist are set according to your preferences. The LED display shows all the relevant readings and the unit has a built in Humidistat which displays the percentage of humidity in the room. When you set the humidity level, the device will adjust the mist and keep the humidity at the level you have set.
There is also a sleep mode function which allows you to set the humidifier to stop at any given time. When the set time is reached, the nightlight is turned off, and the humidifier reverts to the lowest mist output, this function is perfect if you want to keep comfortable all night. The unit is also fitted with an automatic shut-off function, a very important feature which provides peace of mind if the tank runs dry.
Cool mist humidifiers produce high steam that is cool to the touch, making it safer if you have small children or pets. Another advantage is the use of negative ions in the filter which improves breathing by purifying the air. Great if you have a smoker in the house!
The water tank holds more than liters of water, which will give you 1hours of uninterrupted use, taking you right through the night. The tank which has to be removed from the bottom tray needs to be filled upside down. Moving this can result in water being left in the tray which could cause spills, or if left standing could go moldy. A little annoying, yes, but once you know this happens, be prepared to wipe this up with a towel. There are two handles on top and at the bottom of the tank which makes it easy to move and refill. The tank needs to be cleaned once every couple of weeks to prevent the buildup of bacteria. This can be done with a solution of water and vinegar. When not in use it is recommended that the whole unit is washed and air dried before storage.
It is always best to use distilled water for this type of humidifier. As with all Ultrasonic Air Humidifiers, the buildup of calcium from hard, untreated water could produce a very fine white dust which is dispersed with the mist. In time, this will be visible on your furniture. This unit cannot be used as an aromatherapy diffuser, it is not recommended that you add any oils or medication into the tank of this humidifier.
The filter is permanent and will only need replacing if it is faulty or broken. Cleaning the filter or any part of this humidifier is straightforward and easy. You can refer to The Owner’s Manual which has very clear and concise instructions
Remedies Cool Mist Ultrasonic
One of the most lightweight and compact tears shaped humidifiers, the Remedies Cool Mist Humidifier is small enough to be placed on your bedside table. Available in two colors, black and white this Ultrasonic Humidifier is reasonable priced and adequate if you need to humidify a small to medium sized room. This small humidifier is practically inaudible and emits a nice cool mist. It can be used as a diffuser as well, essential oils can be placed in the crescent shaped tray provided, and the unit comes with extra replacement diffuser sponges and two diffuser trays, one at the bottom in the back, and another removable tray which can be placed on the top. Enjoy the aromatherapy function with your favorite essential oils while humidifying the area.
The unit comes with a high-quality stone filter which helps to purify the water before it develops into a mist. The vapor flow can be adjusted by the knob control which is simple to use. There is a LED light power indicator, and the unit comes with color changes, namely red, orange, blue, indigo, violet, orange, and green. You have the option of choosing one color or rotating all the colors. For people who like to have a night light, this is perfect, changing the ambiance of the room according to your mood, can be fun.
If there is a problem with the humidifier, you will be notified by the red LED light indicator. The owner’s manual comes with a troubleshooting section which will guide you through the steps needed to rectify the problem.
The reservoir capacity is 2.liters, and the unit can run from – 1hours continuously. The unit is fitted with an automatic shut-off function which comes into effect when the water is low. An important function for peace of mind, if you want to leave the humidifier running all night. As with all ultrasonic humidifiers, it is always best to use distilled water in the tank to avoid the formation of calcium which is prevalent in untreated water. This can produce fine white dust that will eventually settle on your furniture.
Keeping this humidifier clean can be a bit of a challenge. When you remove the water tank, some water remains on the stand at the bottom. If this is not cleaned each time the tank is filled, mold can develop, and this will eventually cause harmful bacteria. Allowing the unit to run dry before refilling can reduce leakage onto the bottom tray. It might also be a good idea not move the tank and rather refill with a jug of water. There are rubber at the bottom of this humidifier, make sure that these are pushed in all the way so that the unit stands level. It is important that the humidifier is straight otherwise you will have water leakage.
After every 40 hours of use, it is advisable to take apart all the removable parts of the humidifier and clean with a solution of bleach, vinegar, and water. Follow this with a good rinse and then towel dry. Humidifiers can become a health hazard unless frequently cleaned, with time slime will build up in hard to reach places unless regularly cleaned. If you are storing the humidifier for an extended period of time, take it apart and clean thoroughly. Make sure that the tank is empty and allow to air dry. Always store in dry conditions.

Another important feature is the built-in sensor, which adjusts the moisture output according to the humidity of the room, once you have set the desired humidity level, the sensor will auto control the mist output and keep the humidity at a steady level.
The Auto Swing feature, which swings the unit from left to right at a 45-degree angle is an added bonus as this allows the mist to be distributed for a wider range of humidification. This makes the unit suitable for larger rooms. Be aware that the electrical cord is attached to the movable part of this unit and moves when the unit swings. Make sure that the cord is clear so that there are no mishaps. The appliance has an auto shut feature which automatically switches off the unit when the water tank is empty. This is an important feature as it prevents breakage and overheating.
At the back of the unit, you will find a diffuser tray with a reusable pad for essential oils. This unit works well for Aromatherapy. DO NOT add the essential oils or any medication directly into the water tank, as this can cause damage to the machine.
It is advisable not to put the unit on the carpet or on any delicate furniture as things nearby can get damp. The water tank comes with a convenient handle, and it is easy to pull out of the machine and carry when full. Be aware that some water might be left on the base of the unit when you remove the tank. Wipe this area and keep it dry to avoid the buildup of mold. As with all ultrasonic humidifiers, it is always best to use distilled water in the tank to avoid the formation of calcium which is prevalent in untreated water. This can produce fine white dust that will eventually settle on your furniture.
Keeping the Humidifier clean is quite easy. It is advisable to rinse the unit out completely with every refill. Once a week add vinegar to the water tank and allow to sit for around 30 minutes. Rinse well and air dry. Wipe down the whole unit and keep it clean and dry. Humidifiers can become a health hazard unless frequently cleaned, with time slime will build up in hard to reach places unless regularly cleaned. If you are storing the humidifier for an extended period of time, take it apart and clean thoroughly. Make sure that the tank is empty and allow to air dry.
The instruction manual which is supplied with the machine is not easy to understand and written in poor English. If you need help, there is a video on YouTube that is easy to follow.
Steam Vaporizer Warm Mist Humidifiers
Humidifiers that produce only warm mist are also called vaporizers. They are usually small and compact and suitable for smaller rooms. The Steam Warm Mist humidifiers have a heating element that boils the water before dispersing steam into the air, thus destroying bacteria, germs, and microbes in the water tank. This allows the use of tap water to be used instead of distilled or purified water which is recommended for most humidifiers. They don’t require ongoing expenses like filters or cartridges, and they are quieter than most humidifiers. Many of these models have a medicine cup which allows the addition of vapor style medicine, like Vicks, to be added. Great for the relief of the common cold and bronchial problems. They are more expensive to run because they need more electricity to heat the water. Although the water is free from bacteria, warm water which is allowed to stand will cause mold in the machine or heating plate. It is recommended that you clean and soak all movable parts of these humidifiers with white vinegar, water and bleach to keep them mold free. The absence of an internal fan in steam humidifiers makes them practically silent.
Warm mist humidifiers are not recommended if you have small children as they could cause burns if accidentally knocked over. Warm mist humidifiers are not recommended for people who have asthma.
There are a lot of options to choose from in this category. This would include ultrasonic and evaporative warm & cool humidifiers. Room humidifiers are larger and can be used for bigger areas and multiple rooms. Humidifiers of this size come with a lot of extra features, and they are versatile and multifunctional.
After more than 100 hours of research (including 80-plus hours of lab testing) in the past four years, the Honeywell HCM-350 Germ Free Cool Mist Humidifier remains our pick as the best humidifier for most people. It’s quiet, leakproof, effective, and energy-efficient, and it’s the easiest model to fill and clean we’ve ever found.
This fall we’re testing our four humidifier picks against four new competitors in real-world conditions—a steam-heated New York City apartment—to see how their measurements on basic test equipment stack up to our years of lab data. The four newcomers are models from Eufy, Honeywell, Levoit, and TaoTronics.
For larger rooms
Ultrasonic humidifiers are silent and humidify at a faster rate than our pick but can overhumidify if you’re not careful. This one performs similarly to models that cost twice as much and is good for a space 400 square feet or larger.
For spaces around 400 square feet or larger, consider the Sunpentown SU-40Dual Mist Humidifier with ION Exchange Filter. It’s ultrasonic, which means it’s more powerful than our evaporative picks, but this model (like any humidifier of its type) can spread an annoying layer of mineral dust, and can overhumidify a room. This model stands apart with a level of power that matches the leaders in its category and a price that’s roughly half of some competitors. It doesn’t have a humidistat, but in our testing, they usually aren’t that accurate. The SU-40is also harder to clean than the evaporative picks because the water tray is full of sharp angles—a shared trait among all the ultrasonic humidifiers we considered.
If you must have warm mist
Among the warm-mist humidifiers we tested, the this one felt the sturdiest and stayed the coolest (a safety concern). However, we strongly prefer evaporative or ultrasonic humidification.
With the help of a PhD physicist, we tested the humidifiers in a climate-controlled space while regularly logging the temperature, humidity, and particle count (where applicable). Then we evaluated them for ease of use and cleaning, which was just as important as humidifying power for achieving optimal (and safe) performance. Our humidifier testing in the fall of 201featured eight new models, plus a retest of the Honeywell and our runner-up, the Sunpentown SU-9210, and in the fall of 2016, we considered four new models and dismissed them without additional testing.
To test home-humidifier models in a climate-controlled space, John weather-sealed his home office.
John has studied atmospheric physics and chemistry in places from the continental US to the Arctic to the remote island nation of the Maldives on government-sponsored field campaigns to improve our understanding of Earth’s climate.
To test home-humidifier models in a climate-controlled space, he weather-sealed his home office and installed an air conditioner to maintain stable initial conditions. He evaluated the humidifiers with two portable temperature and humidity data loggers, and used a laboratory-grade particle counter to size up the air washers (read more in How we tested).
Who this is for
However, humidifying your home involves more than just buying one of our picks and filling it with water. If you don’t take care to maintain it properly (see Health risks of a dirty humidifier), a humidifier can do more harm than good. Most humidifiers require regular maintenance, including a thorough cleaning every one to three days. There are exceptions, like our upgrade pick. But be honest with yourself: Are you ready to be a “humidifier parent”? If you know you’re not up for this level of regular cleaning and maintenance, you may end up with a breeding ground for germs.
How we picked
Even with the fanciest iron and best solder you can buy, you’ll struggle without a helping hand. This tool simply helps you hold the pieces of equipment that you’re working on. Simple things like soldering a wire to a pad can become very difficult if your work is moving around and slipping as you solder. A helping hand holds the pieces you’re working with in place, allowing your hands to work freely and elevating the work off the table.
ZERO Animal Products!
Most relevant for vegan candle lovers, soy candles provide all the scent and warmth, without the use of any animal ingredients. While beeswax is a highly contested ingredient in the vegan community, very strict vegans tend to avoid it as procuring beeswax can disrupt a bee colony or cause harm to individual bees, even though the wax itself is not an animal ingredient.
With so many options for plant-based wax, including soy, the potential disruption to the bees is unnecessary, so very strict vegans (and those who simply are avoiding bee products) have plant-based waxes to choose from.
Plant-based and Natural
In addition to being vegan-friendly, soy wax is a green choice for homemade candles.
Soy wax is made from soybeans, a natural, renewable, and biodegradable crop grown in many regions by local farmers. Other wax options like paraffin are made from petroleum, a material that may contain carcinogens that might be released into the air during burn time.
A greener choice for the environment, purchasing soy wax is also supporting agriculture and farmers, instead of providing funds to producers of non-renewables.
Soy Candles Last Longer
When you pour the time and effort into making candles at home, you want to be sure they’ll last long enough to be worth the work. Choosing a soy wax means you won’t burn through your candles as quickly, as soy candles burn cooler and therefore generally last 30-50% longer than a paraffin candle.
Number of Candles
How many candles are you hoping to make from a single kit?
If you’re looking to have a rainy day activity on hand to do with your children, you’ll probably need fewer candles – and therefore fewer materials – than if you’re searching for a kit that will allow you to make lots of candles.
Remember that making more candles requires more ingredients and materials, so a kit that allows you to make many candles instead of reusing a few tins will cost considerably more than one that covers just the basics.
However, if you’re hoping to make lots of candles with your kit, purchasing one that includes enough for a large volume will ensure that you don’t run out of materials mid-project, and you can save yourself the hassle and downtime of buying more materials “a la carte.”
The color of a candle can complement the decor of a room, or give a hint about the scent of the candle – a red candle might signify apple, while a yellow candle is perfect for a bright lemon fragrance.
Like fragrance, most kits come with a sampling of many different colors. If you require a certain color, you may be able to make a special request to the makers of the kits or opt for a kit that includes a single color in it.
Think about it. Your foot is trapped for hours inside of a large boot. With that noted, breathability is a must to sustain comfort while skiing. With the use of ski specific socks, you will experience built in ventilation. Ski socks are made for the purpose of providing, warmth, comfort and breathability. A ski sock provides ventilation for your foot so that your feet stay dry from perspiration, allowing you to remain warm after a certain amount of time riding.
Ski socks are probably more expensive than your usual athletic socks, so protect your investment. Turn the socks inside out to wash them – this is where skin cells and dirt build up. It is best not to dry ski socks in commercial dryers. They get too hot. For best results, remove them from your home dryer before they are completely dry and finish drying them at room temperature.

The advantages and disadvantages of buying the mattress online vs offline
The benefits of buying the hide a bed mattress from a manufacturer and not a retailer
Other aspects you should look out for, like warranty, reviews, return policy, shipping details, payment methods
Sofa bed mattress accessories which will provide even more comfort
Step Get the size right by taking width, length and height measurements of your sofa bed mechanism.
While it may appear to be an odd place to start, selecting the correct size sofa bed mattress is essential if you want to be happy about your purchase. Choosing a size too big may not allow the mechanism to work correctly; and choosing a size too small may affect how the sofa feels when you sit on it while the mechanism and mattress are folded up inside the sofa.
Also, an important fact to bear in mind is that hide-a-bed mattresses do not come in standard sizes. This is so important to remember that it’s worth repeating: sofa bed mattresses do not come in standard twin, full, queen or super queen sizes. That being said: a. Determine the Width
Typical mattress widths, as measured across your body when lying down on the mattress, can vary as follows: b. Determine the Length
Mattress lengths, measured from above your head to below your toes when lying down, (in all mattress widths,)typically vary from 68-7inches.
Therefore, when you need to determine the correct size for your replacement sofa mattress, you should measure the actual metal frame, not the mattress that came with the sofa. Also, you should measure the frame on the inside of the metal tubing, and round down to the next inch. (For example, 68-3/inches between the inside of the top and bottom of the frame’s tubing, would round down to 6inches in Length). c. Determine the Thickness (or mattress Height)
Determining the thickness or height that your sofa bed mechanism will accept can be done with the help of the illustration below. To make sure that a inch mattress can fit in your mechanism, measure the distance between the top and bottom of the mechanism at the crease of your old mattress while it is folded inside your mechanism. You will need approximately inches, (see the red lines in the illustration below,) to accommodate a inch thick mattress. Otherwise, a measurement of just over inches between the red lines would mean that your sofa bed mechanism is made to accommodate a inch thick sofa replacement bed mattress.
A correctly sized mattress is critical, and can mean the difference between having a comfortable sofa bed and an uncomfortable one; whether you’re using it as a couch for sitting when the mechanism is folded up, or a bed for sleeping when the mechanism is fully opened. Additionally, incorrect mattress sizing may keep the mechanism from functioning properly, and reduce its useable life.
Step Choose the type and quality of the sofa bed mattress.
Most sofa bed mechanisms accommodate a inch thick sofa replacement mattress, and some accommodate a inch thick mattress. Most of us are accustomed to sleeping on our regular beds, where the mattress typically measure between to 20 inches thick. Quality in a or inch thick hide-a-bed mattress is determined by the following factors: firmness, support and durability.
You might have noticed that there are many types of sofa bed mattresses: inner-spring, foam, memory foam, gel, “gel infused” memory foam, inflatable air systems and latex. While all these are great materials when used properly in the construction of an inch or thicker mattress, not all might be the best choice in a 4-inch thick sofa bed mattress. Let’s look at the specifics:
Inner-spring sofa mattresses
Inner springs are rarely used in high quality and comfortable sleeper sofa replacement mattresses. The main reason behind this is that due to the limits of the couch mattress thickness, not enough turns can put into the coils to offer adequate support. In other words, there simply isn’t enough room for the inner springs to “float” before they fully compress.(See the illustration below, which compares a high quality spring with a poor quality one.)
What’s do we mean by fully compress? Full compression occurs when the top of the mattress, where you sleep, pushes as far as it can go toward the bottom of the mattress. When this happens, the person laying on the sofa bed mattress will most definitely feel some of the structural components of both the mattress (inner springs) and the mechanism (bars) under the mattress. With certainty, they will feel incredibly uncomfortable. For the reasons mentioned above, we do not recommend inner spring mattresses as sleeper sofa replacement mattresses. However, if you have already decided to purchase an inner-spring couch mattress, we would like you to have a look at some specifics you should consider on this page.
Foam sofa bed mattresses
Density of any material is a measurement of how much a given volume of material actually weighs. For foam mattress cores, the standard measurement is pounds per cubic foot. When choosing a sofa bed mattress made from foam, the best quality mattresses have a support core with a foam density from 1.to 2.pounds per cubic foot.
Another important property of any foam is its firmness. A mattress made of marshmallows will feel much different than a mattress made of feathers. The feathers are much softer than the marshmallows. For mattress foam, this firmness is actually measured in units called Indentation Force Deflection, or IFD for short. This property is an indication of how firm the foam feels, and how much give there will be when weight is put on top of the foam. The higher the IFD, the firmer the foam. Firm foams, made from high compression material, have an IFD in the range of 40-50, while softer, medium compression, foams typically have an IFD in the range of 20-30.
Air bladder over coil sofa bed mattresses
These sound great until the air pump doesn’t work when you’re ready to use the sofa as a bed, or the bladder develops a leak. What will remain is an innerspring mattress that will probably bottom out and you’ll feel the bar.
Latex sofa mattresses
Latex is a great natural foam rubber as well. If a solid high quality latex core is used to make a sofa bed mattress, it will be an excellent sleep surface. The only problem is the exorbitant cost; using all 100% latex in a sofa bed replacement mattress can more than double the end mattress cost.
But if you want to go with a sofa replacement mattress which has a layer of latex, please remember: any sofa bed mattress is only as good the support foam under the memory foam or latex foam layer!
Step Consider the durability of the hide-a-bed mattress
We spent a lot of time talking about the quality of what’s inside the mattress, but what about the outside? Well, the outside of the mattress should be constructed to stand up to the rigors of the sofa bed. Opening, closing and even being stored in the closed position can be hard on the mattress. We recommend that a sofa bed replacement mattress be made using old fashioned, heavy duty manufacturing techniques, where the mattress is covered in a durable damask fabric and all the seams are sewn and reinforced with a tape edge. This method of manufacturing has stood the test of time and will stand up better than a simple zip on, zip off, cover.
Of course, we are aware of the fact that a zip on, zip off, cover has the advantage of being able to be cleaned easily. However, if you’re concerned about keeping the mattress protected and clean, we recommend using an additional mattress protector (our waterproof mattress protectors will also protect the mattress from liquids that are accidentally spilled).
Step Sofa bed mattresses “Made in the USA”
The fact that the mattress is made in the U.S. gives the manufacturer the best chance of quality control and the ability to make custom sizes. Keep in mind that sofa bed mattresses come in many sizes to meet the needs of the various mechanism designed for different sofas. U.S. manufacturers adhere to the highest standards of product consistency, and they dominate in the American market because of these high standards. So keep in mind to check/ask where the mattresses are made!
Step Decide if you’re buying the couch mattress online or offline
There are advantages and disadvantages to both. We have both a brick and mortar store in New Jersey (if you’re nearby, drop by: Walt’s Sleep Shop, 72State Route 35, Middletown, N. J.,) and the Replacement-Mattress online store. Buying a mattress at a brick and mortar establishment has one advantage: you can try out the mattress before purchasing. However, if the online manufacturer/retailer has a robust return policy and stands by their products, you don’t have anything to fear about purchasing online.
On the other hand, buying a sofa bed mattress from an online store has some advantages too:
Step Buying a sofa bed mattress from the manufacturer versus a retailer
Buying from a manufacturer has some big advantages, which usually are not offered by retailers, no matter how big the retailers might be:
Unfortunately, not every sofa mattress manufacturer allows the public the opportunity to buy directly from them.
Regardless of where, or from whom, you actually buy the mattress, just make sure it’s made in the USA.
Step Return Policy
Even if you can try out the hide-a-bed mattress for minutes in a mattress store it doesn’t compare with sleeping on it for 7-hours per night. So, just in case it might not fit your needs perfectly, make sure that the company has a sound return policy in place before you buy from them. You can see our return policy here.
Pillows are especially important for people who lay on their sides when sleeping. According to an independent study of more than 13,000 memory foam pillow owners, most people prefer memory foam pillows over traditional pillows. They experience less pain, enjoy a contoured shape for their head and neck, and find the pillows are more durable.
Mouthpieces for specific instruments
While the structural elements of a mouthpiece are similar across all brass instrument types, there are significant variations among different models within an instrument category.
With that in mind, let’s take a look at the specific instruments and explore some purchasing strategies.
Alto horn mouthpieces
If you are approaching the alto horn as a new player, the most suitable mouthpiece for you will largely depend on your background with brass instruments.
Often, intermediate and advanced players of French horns may find themselves taking up the alto as a second instrument, and in this case, it’s often best to choose a mouthpiece with a slightly smaller cup diameter, as players of these instruments are already familiar with a smaller-sized mouthpiece.
On the other hand, those coming from a euphonium may feel more comfortable with a larger diameter that requires less adjustment from the larger euphonium mouthpiece. Brand-new players are likely to prefer a size that’s in the middle, and as skills develop, the mouthpiece size can be revisited, based on the physical needs and style of the player.
Some alto horn mouthpieces, such as those in the Denis Wick Heritage Series come in multiple sizes, making it possible to match different playing needs with a single model. Other manufacturers make different models with specific characteristics for different styles.
The Yamaha AH38DAlto Horn Mouthpiece has a semi- deep cup depth, giving it a relatively dark tonal character.
See the entire selection of alto horn mouthpieces from Musician’s Friend.
Many cornet players also play the trumpet, regardless of which instrument they start off on. Some trumpeters/cornetists use a single mouthpiece for both instruments. This is possible using adapters for cross-fitting the mouthpiece.
However, while cross-fitting can be a good, economical approach for infrequent instrument doublers, it may yield less than ideal results in tone for those who use both instruments extensively. This is largely due to the different throat sizes between trumpet and cornet mouthpieces. Even though the difference involves mere millimeters, the wider-throated mouthpiece of a cornet goes a long way in differentiating the instrument’s voice from that of a trumpet. Therefore, it’s generally best to get a mouthpiece specifically designed for each instrument.
The Bach line of cornet mouthpieces comes in a wide variety of sizes to suit players of all types.
Explore the full Musician’s Friend selection of cornet mouthpieces.
One common issue that flugelhorn players encounter is a poor fit between the instrument’s receiver and the mouthpiece, particularly on older flugelhorns. In addition to a noticeable wobble, it can cause poor intonation and response. Differences in the taper of the mouthpiece are made to fit a particular style of receiver.
You’ll want to make sure you understand the different types of tapers available and match a mouthpiece model to your instrument accordingly.
French horn mouthpieces
Generally requiring a deep cup to bring out the instrument’s tonal warmth, the shape of a French horn mouthpiece can vary significantly. And this variation is most pronounced in the shape of the cup.
Many of the most popular mouthpieces, such as the Yamaha Standard Series, have a deep V-shaped cup, which is considered to produce a more mellow tone with a more pronounced low-frequency response. Alternatively, some French horn mouthpieces use a somewhat shallower U-shaped cup, which add some brightness to the tone and makes the upper register easier to handle.
Some models, like the Stork Orval Series, have slight rounding on a V-shaped cup to warm up tone. In contrast, the Schilke Standard Series French Horn Mouthpiece has a slight curve that helps balance mellow tone with greater response on higher notes.
For more options, check out the entire Musician’s Friend selection of mellophone mouthpieces.
Like trumpet/cornet players, marching band mellophone players sometimes use an adapter to place their French horn mouthpiece on the mellophone. This route is budget-friendly and with its a relatively shallow cup depth, a French horn mouthpiece may be manageable on a mellophone. A better option is to use a mouthpiece specifically designed for the instrument, which generally uses a more shallow, bell-shaped cup that makes the instrument easier to control and keep intonated.
For more options, check out the entire Musician’s Friend selection of mellophone mouthpieces
As with trombonists, trumpet players choose their mouthpieces partly based on the context they will be playing in. They use deeper cups for mellow, orchestral playing, and shallower ones for jazz or soloing. While some players may use a single, medium-sized mouthpiece for most of their playing needs (a good place for beginners to start), it’s quite common for advanced trumpet players to carry multiple mouthpieces for different playing situations and even different pieces.
The large variety of trumpet mouthpieces available today makes the multiple-mouthpiece approach sensible. You can choose from weighted, deep designs like the Schilke Heavyweight to the super-shallow Jet-Tone BC Classic Re-issue, favored by fleet-fingered soloists looking for the utmost in response. Student models like the Yamaha Standard Trumpet Mouthpiece maximize playability, while signature models such as the Yamaha Allen Vizzutti Mouthpiece handle the broad range that soloists of Vizzutti’s skill can produce.
The Bach Standard Series Trumpet Mouthpiece is one of today’s most popular and is a highly regarded choice for students.

Tuba and sousaphone mouthpieces
Like the instrument, mouthpieces designed for tuba are larger than others in the brass section. But just like other low brass mouthpieces, available models are varied so as to allow tuba players to fine-tune their preferences.
Tuba mouthpieces come in two different styles: a more funnel-shaped and narrow design exemplified by the Conn Helleberg, and a more bell-shaped and wide design exemplified by the Perantucci mouthpieces.
For tuba students, the right design is largely a matter of which style is more comfortable; you may find you have a strong preference for one over the other.
The sousaphone is a type of tuba especially designed to be played while standing or walking. The tubes of a sousaphone wrap around the player’s body, resting on the left shoulder while the bell projects sound over the rest of the band. As a specialized type of tuba, the sousaphone uses very similar mouthpieces. Faxx Tuba and Sousaphone Mouthpieces can be used on either instrument to produce a warm, full sound.
The Bach Mega Tone Tuba/Sousaphone Mouthpiece fits both instruments as well, but its depth produces a darker sound with a more flexible range.
Brass mouthpiece accessories
Your mouthpiece is a critical part of your instrument and needs special care, proper storage, and regular cleaning. One accessory you definitely need is a case for proper storage and protection. The Bach 189Nylon Quad Pouch is ideal for multi-instrumentalists with its thickly padded space for four mouthpieces.
The Protec Trombone Mouthpiece Protector is a simple accessory that helps keep your trombone mouthpiece clean and free from dents.
For any of these needs, from carrying cases and adapters, to extensions and tone intensifiers, Musician’s Friend has what you need. Consider what other brass instrument accessories you’ll need before you check out with your new mouthpiece.
