In Guerrero one of the dances is called
La Danza de Los Tecuanes, (The Human Eaters Dance) and focus on the hunting and killing of the jaguar character, which has been harassing the community.
Usually the mask is wood carved and when done in communities with a lacquer tradition it is also lacquered and decorated with peccary tusks and hair.
Other Jaguar dances are concerned with maintaining balance in the natural world and the agricultural cycle.
Rotary lawnmowers work quite simply by rapidly spinning a blade to cut grass. They’re heavier, but provide more power. They’re generally a better choice for large lawns, as well as long, overgrown and unruly grass.
They’re the most common type and there’s a greater variety of rotary models to choose from. Most have wheels, but there are also hover lawnmowers available which float on air to make mowing lawns with slopes and uneven areas easier.
Cylinder lawnmowers use a barrel of rotating blades with a fixed blade at the base. The barrel turns as you move forward, trapping blades of grass and cutting them against the fixed blade.
They offer a finer, more precise cut, and are a good choice for neat, frequently mowed lawns, rather than long grass. Traditional models have no motor, which makes them much quieter and cheaper to run. But faster, motorised models are also available.
Electric lawnmowers are lighter than petrol mowers and cheaper to run. They’re not as powerful, making them suitable for small to medium lawns.
Many models plug into your mains, so you’ll probably need an extension cord to run the wire across your garden. Some have an inbuilt battery, so no need for cables, but make sure they can carry enough charge to last the whole job.
Petrol lawnmowers provide you with more power and endurance. They’re designed for tackling large lawns as well as grass that’s thick or overgrown.
They are heavier, so while they’ll cut more at once, they require more effort to manoeuvre. There are self-propelling models available that can reduce the effort required.
And if your lawn’s really huge, then you can always opt for a ride on model.
Petrol mowers are heavier so you may be more likely to push the mower rather than carry the mower to and from the lawn. Look for a mower with easy height adjustment so you can lift the deck clear of the ground while transporting. Also, look for large robust wheels that make pushing easier and can manage steps.
Side discharge mowers
Side discharge lawnmowers deposit grass clippings straight out of the sides and back on to your lawn.
This is fine if you’re making a short cut, but if your grass is longer, it will leave grass deposits across your lawn, which may need clearing away.
Most lawnmowers come with a grass clippings bag, which catches clippings while you mow.
You can easily empty and dispose of the waste, or turn it into compost. But the size of the bag is important, so you can avoid having to empty it frequently.
A lawn rake uses spring tines to scratch into the surface of the lawn, lift grass prior to cutting, as well as remove thatch and moss. Regular lawn raking improves surface drainage, allowing water to reach the grass roots. It aerates the soil allowing more sunlight and air around the grass blades. Lawn rakes can also be used to collect leaves and light debris from the lawn.
Choosing the right size
Choosing your best laptop means getting the right balance between size and power.
The smallest, lightest laptops are usually the least powerful because they simply can’t carry as many components inside. To get something more powerful would mean choosing a device that’s a little larger and heavier.
Typically it’s the most expensive laptops that have the best battery life. Some low cost models may have a longer life, but that’s a reflection of their reduced processing power, which requires less battery life.
Remember battery life is an estimate. High demand tasks will use up battery power faster than low demand tasks.
This is measured in candelas (light intensity) per square meter – cd/mThe brightest monitors can go over 300cd/mThis means you’d be able to see the screen even if bright sunlight was shining on it, but you might want to go lower to avoid any strain on your eyes.
Firmer is not always better. You need to be able to sink a little into your mattress or else your spine won’t be aligned.
If you’re light and pick an extra firm mattress, the springs won’t compress and you won’t sink at all. Similarly, if you like to sleep on your side, you could end up with too much pressure on your shoulders and hips.
If you’ve a preference for firmness, you can always make the surface softer by purchasing a separate mattress topper. This is also useful if you have a partner who might find a firmer mattress uncomfortable.
Fabric is stitched to the filling with some extra padding, so the finish is more comfy and you’re unlikely to feel the springs beneath the surface.
A damask fibre finish has a smooth, luxurious feel and will help you to stay cooler in bed.
A protector can be purchased to protect the mattress from moisture. The average adult sweats a pint of moisture every night. If this enters the mattress, along with dead skin and hair cells, it can increase the likelihood of dust mites and allergens. A protector can also help prolong your mattresses’ life.

Dust and Water Resistance
Most smartphones have certifications for how resistant they are to water and dust. The two most common are IP6and IP68.
An IP6rating means a phone is resistant to dust, general dirt and sand. It also means a phone is water resistant for up to 30 minutes at 1m depth.
Mobile phones with an IPrating are also resistant to dust, dirt and sand. This rating means a phone is resistant to water at 1.5m for up to 30 minutes.
SIM free phones
SIM free phones are a flexible choice as they come without a SIM card. So you can use your current SIM card, switch to a SIM only contract, or change to pay as you go. This can often be cheaper than a contract and you can upgrade whenever you want.
Shop all combination microwaves
A standard microwave which can also work like a convection oven but with quicker cooking times. It can heat, roast, brown and crisp food allowing you to use it the same way you would your standard oven. Yes, that does also mean you can cook a roast dinner in it (if you get a big enough size).
The power of a microwave is measured in watts. The more watts a microwave has, the faster it can cook.
The Beats SoloWireless, released in September 2016, looks almost the same as the Solo- and that’s OK. What has changed are features found on the inside, like Apple’s proprietary Wcustom Bluetooth chip, which has drastically improved battery life and makes pairing to Apple devices flawless and simple. Umm…40 hours of listening without recharging? Wow!
It still showcases the hallmark Beats design and is available in many attractive finishes such as glossy or matte black, white, gold, rose gold, and silver. We are loving the matte black and matte silver models because their texture matches the look and feel of the iPhone and is less prone to fingerprints (and scratches). What we love about the newest models of the best selling Solo, are that the appearance is less aggressive and more mature. For instance, you can now pull off a Beats headphone if you are over 2The bright red “B” logo has now been color-matched to the shade you pick.Think more sophisticated and mature.
Whereas some testers weren’t that over the moon about the plastic design, almost all liked the controls of the Beats SoloThe left earcup includes the 3.5mm input for use when the battery is dead. The Beats logo found on the right earcup is actually the button that controls playback, navigates tracks, and answers/ends calls depending on how many times you tap it. Tapping the ring above or below the “B” logo controls the volume levels and the right earcup also controls power and pairing. The Solohas a mic hidden in the ear cup to let you take calls, but it is important to note that this model does not have active noise cancellation. They are fine for those who want some isolation and muffling of outside noises, or don’t want the sound from the headphones to escape and disturb others. They do both well.
One other great feature of the Solois that it folds easily and compactly and comes with a durable and handy carrying case.
When it comes to on-ear headphones, it is very rare to find a pair that is both comfortable and securely fitted. We feel that the Beats Solodoes a good job of marrying these two ideas. The Solofeels substantial and solid, but is surprisingly lightweight. The headband is sturdy – there is no flexing of the material – and the earcups swivel to aid in a better fit.
We had no issues when briskly walking outside and working around the office and house – some testers used them at the gym and on a brisk run, but it is important to note that the Solois not considered sweatproof.
We would definitely recommend them for shorter listening sessions, but for those who wear headphones all day, you are best to check out an over-ear model like the super comfortable Bose QuietComfort 3or the Sony H.ear On Wireless NC.
Time to geek out a bit. The Apple WBluetooth chip is the abracadabra that makes the Soloa better buy than its predecessors. It makes pairing your Apple device as simple as the good ‘ole days when you just plugged in a wire. It also has ridiculously long battery life, touting 40 hours, and the Wacts as the magic wand that stretches out the juice in a same size battery.
The exciting news for some is that you do not have to own an iPhone or iPhone Plus to reap these benefits. The Wchip can work with any Bluetooth-enabled device, which includes any model of iPhone, Android phone, tablet, Mac and many PCs that are consider Bluetooth compatible. If you do not have a newer iPhone you would just simply pair your device the “old fashioned” way. It may take a few more finger swipes and taps, but you can still easily pair and – you do seem to get the same battery life!
If you are not using iCloud, the connection is still very quick, and if you don’t use iOS devices at all, the SoloWireless still operate as standard Bluetooth headphone. When you connect the included audio cable, the Soloautomatically powers down. We found no dramatic difference in audio performance between wireless and wired modes. The same cable even comes with an inline remote for music and phone calls making it pretty versatile.
What impressed us was the soft leather and ultra lightweight brushed aluminum that made these headphones feel like a premium model.
The ear cups were also very pleasant and did not create as much ear fatigue or head pinching as some on-ear models.
Use Different Grades of Abrasive
Coarse abrasives can rip through old varnishes and thin paint layers fast but will leave ugly scratches in wood or stucco. Finish with fine abrasive paper, and the surface will be mirror smooth to the naked eye.
Remember, if you are stripping old, thickly layered paint, you will need to remove the paint with a chemical stripper first. Oil based paints quickly clog abrasive papers.
For most home decoration, three grades of abrasive are all you need. Usually makers give codes like this: P60, P80 and P120. The P stands for ‘particle’ and the number tells you how many particles there are per square centimeter.
P60 is coarse, P80 medium and P120 is fine. P180 can be useful for sanding between coats of paint or varnish.
There are two ways to fix abrasive sheets to a sander
If you have a lot of work to do, using rolls or sheets is much more economical.
You cut the right size and attach it to the sander with clips. These clips are critical in the long term use of a sander, so look for a model with robust features. If the clips break, the sander is useless.
Abrasives with a backing that includes cloth reinforcement is more durable than a purely paper backing. Thin, non-reinforced sheets break easily on rough surfaces or edges.
Makita is the only maker that I could recommend.
Makita sanders are quiet, low-vibration, and powerful. Not only is the motor good, the clips on a Makita sander are durable and hold the paper tightly, even after years of use.
Vibration and noise are especially important if you are working for a long period. Inferior sanders can leave your hands numb and your ears ringing. Excess vibration, common with cheap sanders, also means slow, very tiring work as you force the abrasive to its task.
Pressure indicator lights on a Skill sander
Round sanders are easy to use on big surfaces. They sweep back and forth more smoothly than their square or rectangular cousins and many people find it easier to get a flat finish as a result.
Some sanders of this kind have a brake that automatically cuts in if you apply too much pressure. This prevents you from accidentally damaging the surface and also eases pressure on the motor, giving it a longer life.
Skil is one manufacturer that has a system of indicator lights to tell you how much pressure you are applying. This is very useful for beginners who might otherwise find it hard to get a flat finish. It gives you feedback on the best technique for steady, even sanding.
Some uses of a belt sander.
Belt-sanders are not suitable for fine finishing but they are invaluable for tougher work.
If you are stripping a large wooden floor or deck of its old finish, a large drum sander that you push back and forth is the best option. A smaller, handheld belt sander is needed to reach edges and into corners.
A small floor or deck can be sanded with a handheld belt sander on its own, with a little patience.
Belt sanders can also be used to true up bent boards, flatten warped or buckled table tops or strip tough finishes from furniture.
